The Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID) was established under the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, as a center of excellence in research, design, and development of sustainable infrastructure. CSID was founded with a mission to shift the paradigm of infrastructure development by adopting a comprehensive scientific approach, integrating technical planning and design, financial and business management, and the utilization of cutting-edge technologies.
CSID is led by Prof. Ir. Mohammed Ali Berawi, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., who serves as its Director. As a distinguished academic and international expert in value engineering and infrastructure innovation, Prof. Berawi plays a vital role in directing the center’s vision, research agenda, and strategic partnerships.
Backed by a strong academic reputation and a robust network of national and international collaborators, CSID is committed to becoming a pioneer in delivering resilient, efficient, and environmentally conscious infrastructure solutions. Through research, policy advocacy, and capacity building, CSID aims to support Indonesia’s transition toward a more sustainable and globally competitive future.
