CSID WEBINAR SERIES NOVEMBER 2022: WRITING AND PUBLISHING AN ACADEMIC RESEARCH PAPER

As a researcher, we are expected to publish our research in high-quality journal research that will increase the advancement of science and technology. Publishing academic journals is a highly competitive activity, and it is essential to understand that there could be several reasons behind a rejection. Therefore, when preparing the article or research journal and paper for submission, it is important to find every possible way to deliver the research in a paper, from following the formatting determined by the journal to organizing the paper’s content.

The CSID 2022 webinar series titled “Writing and Publishing an Academic Research Paper” was an online training session for writing and publishing theoretical and technical scientific papers held by the CSID Faculty of Engineering on 11 November 2022, Universitas Indonesia. This event is one of CSID’s efforts as a platform for multidisciplinary researchers in the ASEAN community and their borders to increase the comprehension of the strategy for writing and publishing scientific papers, especially for research in science and engineering.

This event presents two speakers with expertise in managing and publishing papers in conference proceedings and international journals: Dr. rer. pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T, (Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Research and Community Service at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia), and Perdana Miraj, S.T., M.T, (Managing Editor of CSID JID).

Dr. Dani said that a scientific paper must show relevance and novelty in systemic ways. He also told the participants how to choose international conferences. Perdana strengthened Dr. Dani’s explanation by giving tips and tricks on writing and publishing an academic research paper. He also conveyed the participants how to structure a journal paper that the editor will take seriously. This event was attended by 159 participants from universities and related research institutions who share the same passion for writing and publishing scientific papers.
